Motorola Unveils Android 5.0 Lollipop Plans and Google Nexus 6

Today, Motorola announced initial roll-out plans for the latest Android OS build 5.0 codenamed Lollipop. 

The first device to get the new Android system software will be Google's Nexus 6, designed by Motorola.  As the name suggests, the new Nexus handset sports a 6" Quad HD display, a 13MP camera with HDR, and a turbo charging feature that can replenish 6 hours of battery life in a touted 15 minutes of charging.  The Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order on the Google Play Store later this month for $649.

Motorola also has plans to make Android 5.0 Lollipop available for its latest smartphone offerings, including Moto X, Moto G, Moto G with 4G LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini.  Dates for availability of the OS upgrade are still to be announced.
