In 2023, Viasat completed its acquisition of Inmarsat, combining both companies’ fleets and services. The upcoming Viasat-3 series is equipped with electronically steered phased array antennas that will have the capability to deliver 2,000 spot beams and a total throughput capacity of 1 Terabits per Second (Tbps) per satellite.
