Although notebook shipments were boosted 25% in 2021, it fell by 13% in 2022 and again by 11.7% in 2023 to 193.8 million. Generally, the overall notebooks market is a highly mature market that is in steady decline, but the introduction of embedded AI due to launch in 2024 could change that outlook. The notebook market is led by Lenovo and HP, followed by Dell, which together account for around 60% of shipments globally. Apple has kept a relatively consistent share over the past few years of between 9% and 11%.
