Get The ReportAccording to ABI Research Q4 2025 forecasts, the total number of satellite IoT connections worldwide is projected to increase from 10 million in 2024 to 28 million in 2030. This makes for a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 18.6%.
GEO constellations account for roughly 70% of total satellite IoT connections today, but LEO is growing at double the pace. By 2030, GEO constellations will possess a 53% share, LEO a 40% share, and LEO/Hybrid comprising the remaining satellite IoT deployments. There are no connections within the MEO layer.
