Get The ReportAccording to ABI Research, total robotics investments have reached US$34.1 billion between January and early September 2026, against US$14.7 billion for all of 2025. ABI Research expects the year to close above US$40 billion.
Investment funds are increasingly concentrated in larger, multimillion-dollar or multibillion-dollar commitments, whereas smaller capital injections were more common in previous years.
Strong investment activity is now centered on companies developing Artificial Intelligence (AI), specialized software capabilities, and Physical AI solutions. Meanwhile, more established robotics categories closer to commercial deployment, such as logistics robots and industrial robotic arms, have not attracted comparable valuations.
Despite being among the most expensive components of humanoid robots, actuators and reducers have yet to attract a significant share of robotics investment
