Number of Public EV Charging Points by Charge Type

The number of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points available will increase from 7.3 million in 2025 to 40.7 million by 2035 as infrastructure projects ramp up. Of that figure, Alternating Current (AC) charging points account for the majority, with faster Direct Current (DC) charging points accounting for the remainder.
