- Total shipments for embedded security technologies will reach 4.86 billion by the end of 2026, growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 14.3% to reach 9.39 billion by 2031. In contrast to last year’s forecasts (MD-DAES-114), this new dataset excludes both eSIMs and NFC eSEs, so totals cannot be compared like for like.

- Largest segments are secure MCUs, followed by Authentication ICs (Auth ICs) and TEEs (88% of total shipments).
Fastest growing segments are TEE MCUs,  secure MCUs, and SEs (~18-20% CAGR).

- Smallest segment is TPMs.

- Flat or minimal growth segments (<5% CAGR) are Auth IC and TPM. For Auth IC, growth in IoT is offset by a decline in High Performance Computing (HPC).
