Market Data | 3Q 2026 | MD-DAES-115
Get The ReportTotal shipments for embedded security technologies will reach 4.86 billion by the end of 2026 and grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 14.3% to 9.39 billion by 2031. Unlike last year's forecast (MD-DAES-114), this dataset excludes both Embedded SIMs (eSIMs) and Near Field Communication (NFC) embedded Secure Elements (eSEs). As a result, the totals are not directly comparable.
- The largest segment is secure Microcontroller Units (MCUs), followed by Authentication Integrated Circuits (Auth ICs) and Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), which together account for 88% of total shipments.
- The fastest-growing segments are TEE MCUs, secure MCUs, and Secure Elements (SEs), each with a CAGR of approximately 18% to 20%.
- Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs) represent the smallest segment.
- Authentication ICs and TPMs are the slowest-growing segments, each with a CAGR below 5%. For Auth ICs, growth in Internet of Things (IoT) applications is offset by declining demand in High Performance Computing (HPC).
