Significant developments have recently taken place in the fields of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtualized Radio Access Network (vRAN), where several vendors are releasing new platforms for the deployment of 5G radio networks. For example, NVIDIA recently announced its vRAN cloud offering, powered by its new Grace Hopper Superchip. With enterprises now incorporating more AI technology into their technology stacks, it begs the question of how Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and AI will accelerate vRAN adoption on the telco domain. The implications may be that these telco-driven AI solutions will also be used in the enterprise domain in the future, so their choice needs to be under significant consideration.
