Of the number of 5G-supported handset devices (e.g., smartphones and tablets) shipped across Europe in 2022, 90.1 million came from the Western portion of the continent, compared to 17.7 million shipments from Eastern Europe. This Western European dominance will continue in the coming years and by 2027, more than twice as many 5G-supported handsets will ship in Western Europe (137.2 million vs 60.1 million).
