The Mobile Devices, Features, Pricing, and Networks Technologies report is a streamlined market data file that encompasses data on mobile phones, smartphones, and media tablets, as well as for mobile broadband modems (MBBs) and connected notebook PCs. The overall result is a number of dynamic, fully-functioning pivot tables enabling a full range of market data cuts and insights. It provides historical quarterly data by major vendors and regions for handsets, tablets and MBBs —updated for 2Q 2017—with revised forecasts to 2022 for all device types including connected notebook PCs and by price tier. In addition, a "bottom up" model-level volume shipment tracker for smartphones allows for detailed data analyses across a number of main features, including by operating system, form factor, screen size and resolution, camera megapixels, CPU speeds. There are also 24 country views for smartphones only, showing shipments, by network technology and OS, forecast to 2022.
New for this version is the addition of our smartphone retail pricing tracker (previously MD-MHPT), updated to also include data to 2Q 2017 for 18 of the world’s top vendors, specifically Samsung, Apple, LG, Huawei, Xiaomi, ZTE, Lenovo, Sony, Motorola, HTC, TCL/Alcatel, Nokia-HMD, OPPO, LeEco, Google, Vivo, Coolpad, and Micromax. For these 18 vendors, retail pricing and estimated revenues can be analysed across defined price bands and tiers, segmented by country, region, and tracked device specifications, including by screen size, chipset speed (MHz), CPU manufacturer and air interface.
