Wearable Cameras for Police Speed up Convictions

Enterprise wearable camera adoption is growing; one major factor in the expansion is the increased use of wearables by police forces around the world. Wearable cameras provide a way to monitor actions and events without interfering or restricting an officers ability to operate. They also provide benefits to officers and the public, at large. These devices give police officers the ability to record events while they interact with the public and the recordings can be used as evidence, if necessary. They are also utilized as a way to cement trust between the police and the communities they serve by offering impartial evidence of officers’ actions. ABI Research believes that these factors will likely lead to wider adoption as more police organizations realize the benefits of using wearable cameras.
