The DAS equipment vendor market is hyper competitive and since we last published a competitive assessment in 2014 there have been several changes to the vendor ecosystem. TE Connectivity’s DAS business was acquired by CommScope, Axell was acquired by Cobham, Zinwave was acquired by McWane, and CSI sold its DAS equipment business to Westell. The 13 companies included in this refresh of our Competitive Assessment are Advanced RF Technologies (ADRF), Bird/DeltaNode, Cobham Wireless, Comba Telecom, CommScope, Corning, Dali Wireless, Fiber-Span, JMA Wireless, Kathrein, SOLiD Technologies, Westell and Zinwave.
Corning narrowly tops the Vendor Matrix, closely followed by CommScope and then Cobham Wireless. CommScope is the market share leader with 34.7% according to our estimates and including TE Connectivity’s DAS business Pro Forma for 2014. The top 5 DAS vendors together now account for over 63% of the market as Dali Wireless, our most innovative vendor, joins CommScope, Corning, Cobham Wireless and JMA Wireless.
