Webinar: Home Security in a Smart Home World: Threats and Opportunities

The professionally monitored home security market is adapting to a new generation of smart home products and services that both complement and threaten its core business. Existing professionally monitored security players in North America were quick to see the potential of adding smart home services to their offerings. ADT, Vivint, and many others layered smart home services on top of their security offerings. That impetus in the market did a lot to bring a wide range of new competitors including telcos and cablecos into the market. In addition, the technology developed to underpin these smart home packages has provided the foundation for a host of self-monitoring home security offerings to push into the mainstream. Increasingly end users can install and manage their own home security often at far lower cost than existing monitored security plays.

This webinar will examine the key drivers within the smart home security market as it continues to develop and adapt to the emerging smart home space
