New Initiative to Unite Industry Efforts for Community Wi-Fi Development


The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) has taken the leading role in defining industry roadmap for community Wi-Fi. The Alliance’s latest white paper aims to describe community Wi-Fi implementation considerations like service levels and network architectures. The release also reviews current challenges and requirements to carrier Wi-Fi service level. The WBA also seeks to receive feedback on the topic from other involved industry forums like GSMA, 3GPP, IEEE, and the Small Cell Forum.
