AARP, advocates for active and healthy living of the 50+ crowd, has introduced an Android tablet aimed at the older, and often technology intimidated, American audience. Dubbed RealPad, the handheld slate builds on many of the learnings from the burgeoning tablet market and offers a few modifications designed to make technology solutions more approachable. According to AARP, which used its Ideas@50+ conference to showcase the new product, technology helps people stay connected and avoid isolation.
