ROS on Snapdragon


At the recent ROSCon event, the Open Source Robotics Foundation (OSRF) announced that it will create and support a robot operating system (ROS) release for ARM (a first), beginning with Qualcomm Technologies's Snapdragon 600, a quad-core, system-on-chip (SoC) designed for smartphones and other mobile devices. According to the OSRF, ROS for Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processors will be available on the Linux OS in 4Q 2014 and on the Android OS in the first half of 2015.
