Dyson Enters Robotic Vacuum Market


On September 4, 2014, British household products engineering firm Dyson Ltd., best known for its bagless vacuum cleaner, announced its first robotic vacuum cleaner—the Dyson 360—in Japan (Here, Here, and Here). At the unveiling, Dyson noted that it had taken out over 400 patent applications worldwide for the device. The 360 Eye will be available in Japan in the spring of 2015, with international availability following. Pricing has not been set, but estimates for the 360 Eye range between US$950 and US$1,250.
