This database tracks digital content and services that are critical to many of the devices covered by ABI Research, but reside outside the typical video markets which are covered in other products within the company. Currently this product contains market revenue data for gaming software, social networking, digital music, and Internet search. This research is intended to track the continued migration from physical media to digital and to quantify the evolving content landscape as it pertains to content monetization and changing consumer behavior.   

This report is set for a bi-annual publication schedule and will expand from the current four markets in future iterations. Currently the report includes the following segmentations: gaming market is segmented by platform (game console, PC, handheld, mobile) and type (physical or digital) while digital music is split by revenue type (subscription, ad supported, digital download, mobile, physical media). All markets are segmented by region (North America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East & Africa). Historical revenue data is provided for 2013 and forecasted from 2014 to 2020—2013 market shares are also provided for the gaming and search markets.
