Quirky’s Smart Home Offshoot Wink Announces Smart Home Hub


Wink, an offshoot of the GE-Quirky collaboration created to focus on the smart home market recently announced a low cost, multi-radio smart home hub. The hub, at US$80, is priced less than most currently available multi-radio hubs and will retail in Home Depot stores and Amazon from July 7th. The Wink hub supports wireless technologies such as Z-Wave Plus, Lutron's Clear Connect, ZigBee, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Smart. Wink expects to announce 15 brands partnering to provide a seamless integrated experience.
