The enterprise small cell market keeps attracting the attention of both solution providers and operators. This June, Airvana introduced a new addition to the market with its OneCell system, a cloud RAN-based indoor solution. Cisco, who is highly active in indoor connectivity, has also started tackling the topic from another perspective. The service provider Wi-Fi expert launched its Small Cell Enterprise Select partner program, aiming to facilitate indoor deployments. From the chip manufacturers’ side, Qualcomm presented a new system on a chip, FSM90xx, for residential and small to medium applications. And remarkably, BT Group, the United Kingdom’s landline service provider and one of the largest broadband providers, has revealed its intention to deploy LTE small cells for residential and enterprise.
