FLEXConnect from Mitsubishi Could Help Improve the Company's Competitiveness

Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America had an estimated US$438 million in parts sales to automakers in fiscal 2013. Mitsubishi announced that it would launch a new infotainment system in North America called FLEXConnect. With this launch Mitsubishi hopes that the system will be used in new 2018 models. However, as of yet, no official agreements with car manufactures have been signed. In addition, in a competitive assessment conducted by ABI Research for infotainment Tier One suppliers, Mitsubishi was ranked 17th in terms of implementation and innovation. However, this news could see its ranking increase over the forthcoming years.
