Delivery Fleets Are under Increasing Pressure


The biggest factor shaping this industry is the battle fleets face to try and remain competitive when fuel prices continue to increase. As a consequence, fleet delivery services are under increasing pressure to reduce costs in order to remain competitive. Commercial telematics can help to a point; however, there is a limit when delivery fleets continue to use gas or diesel. Therefore, it would appear that there are an increasing number of delivery fleets piloting and launching fleets in inner-city areas that are electric for the last mile of delivery.
