Alcatel-Lucent Invests in French Fronthaul Start-up


Alcatel-Lucent has signed a commercial and technology agreement with French start-up EBlink to help expand Alcatel-Lucent’s capabilities in LTE ultra-broadband mobile access and small cells. The agreement includes a US$4 million (€3 million) investment in EBlink to help accelerate technology innovation.

Founded in 2005, EBlink specializes in wireless fronthaul to connect a basestation baseband unit (BBU) with remote radio heads (RRHs) for cloud or centralized RAN (CRAN) applications.
