Samsung and Barnes & Noble Partner for Co-branded Tablet Launch


Samsung and Barnes & Noble have recently announced that they are joining forces to create a co-branded NOOK tablet. The Barnes & Noble NOOK software and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 hardware will be combined to create devices that offer users a unique digital reading experience with the latest hardware and technology. Samsung and Barnes & Noble plan to launch these new devices, starting with a 7.0-inch device, in early August 2014. Barnes & Noble will sell these tablets in both its retail and e-commerce stores. In addition, Barnes & Noble still plans to sell its NOOK GlowLight eReader, maintaining its commitment to the NOOK eReader devices. Samsung has maintained a relationship with Barnes & Noble and previously offered the NOOK software on its Galaxy Tab tablets.
