Good-bye, CSI and Zinwave: Long Live Westell and McWane


The in-building wireless market is hypercompetitive, and since 2012, there have been several changes to the equipment vendor ecosystem. Alvarion and Powerwave are now out of business. Axell was acquired by Cobham (see our 2013 ABI Insight “Cobham Acquires Axell Wireless for DAS”) and InnerWireless was acquired by Black Box. Also CSI sold its services business, the CSI Solutions Group, to Goodman Networks. Now in 2014, the action continues, with Westell Technologies acquiring the remainder of CSI and McWane acquiring Zinwave.
