As the mobile device market reaches saturation, OEMs are seeking new vectors to market its devices to. The consumerization of IT, or bring your own device (BYOD), continues to gain momentum by businesses and consumers, creating a new marketplace for mobile business customers. BYOD promises many benefits to the enterprise by helping a company optimize cloud use and by saving money through shifting costs to the user. In addition, employees enjoy the option of providing its own mobile device, which appeases its need to be more mobile and proactive. The growing acceptance of BYOD has prompted OEMs to target the enterprise by developing security platforms that emphasize enterprise security. This includes, but is not limited to, Samsung's KNOX software and Apple's iOS security.
