Verizon Ends Its Smart Home Monitoring Offering


In February, Verizon admitted what had been clear for months. The company was no longer selling its smart home service. Its Home monitoring and control website had removed new sales support for some time. Verizon had taken down its online sales support late in 2013, while customer support forums remained. Verizon says it will return with an updated service, but while the details of that service remain to be seen, it is worth looking at the options and the marketplace that Verizon will be entering with its next-generation service.
