Cisco and AGT International Announce a Major Collaboration


The first week of February saw an interesting strategic partnership announced in the IoT space, as Cisco and AGT International said that they had agreed to form a “Smart City Global Strategic Alliance” to drive future smart-city deployments and innovation. From Cisco’s end, the agreement will bring “intelligent networking, virtualized computing, and video management software” to the table, whereas AGT’s contribution will comprise its “smart-city software platform, sensor gateway, and analytics.” The solution verticals targeted by the collaboration include, primarily, transportation, healthcare, infrastructure, disaster preparedness, and personal safety.
