IBM has had an active 2013 and this year is set for an even more dynamic one. The U.S. giant has been busy enhancing its own portfolio in order to push security into its core designs, as well as looking outward for acquisitions and partnerships. Interestingly, IBM hasn’t just been looking for acquisition opportunities, although it did well last year when it snapped up Israeli company Trusteer. The company is increasingly focusing on funding educational programs and has made significant inroads in obtaining government contracts.
