Tablets Are High on U.S. Black Friday Shopping Lists

Tablets are on many wish lists during this end-of-year holiday buying season. Yet with an economy still in flux, many households will have to save up to purchase the device. Results from ABI Research’s annual look at tablet affordability show that lower tablet prices are putting devices in reach for more consumers. The analysis reviewed tablet ASPs and the gross national income (GNI) per capita and average size of household for 22 countries to determine the length of time it will take to purchase a tablet in the local market.
