Qualcomm Hands Over AllJoyn to New AllSeen Alliance


Qualcomm has passed over its AllJoyn developer environment to the Linux Foundation in the hopes of driving speedy adoption of the technology. As part of the move, the foundation has launched the AllSeen Alliance with Haier, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Sharp, Cisco, and a number of consumer electronics companies supporting the AllJoyn technology, which enables disparate devices using a range of operating systems to easily connect peer-to-peer.
