Smartphone Companies Continue to Falter in a Growing Market


Since the introduction of the iPhone, the smartphone market has experienced a vast shift in market leadership. Over the last 5 years the industry has watched established leaders such as Palm, Nokia, BlackBerry, Sony Ericsson, HTC, and more falter in a market that has grown device shipments over 500% since 2008. Filling the vacuum created by the mobile computing disruption, Apple and Samsung remain as the two leaders with 60% of shipments and 90% of revenues.
