The MACH37 Cyber Accelerator

The Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), a nonprofit corporation based in Virginia, focuses on commercialization and seed funding for the tech sector. In September 2013, CIT launched the first public-private cybersecurity accelerator. Based on the same model as existing tech accelerators (Y Combinator, Excelerate Labs, Dreamit Ventures), the MACH37 Cyber Accelerator will focus only on cybersecurity start-up companies. MACH37 will offer a 90-day program to help develop product ideas and turn them into early-stage companies, with the final goal of presenting to investors at the end of the period. The first cohort session launched on September 17, 2013, with five cybersecurity companies: Cypherpath, Key Cybersecurity, Pierce Global Threat Intelligence, CyberLingua, and Sikernes.
