An Underwhelming Cybersecurity Strategy



The much-anticipated executive order signed by U.S. President Obama on February 12, 2013 was disappointing to say the least. Titled “Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity,” the order was full of hollow aspirations and weak-kneed policies. Despite some promising resolutions, the proposed “Cybersecurity Framework” fell far short as a pertinent and concrete solution to a problem that should have been addressed ten years ago.
