Operations Support Systems (OSS): The OS Running the Mobile Network

Purchase

OSS is often an overlooked component of the mobile network but it plays an essential role for provisioning services, configuring network components, managing and ideally even anticipating faults, as well as maintaining network inventory.

The incumbent infrastructure vendors, Ericsson, Nokia-Siemens Networks, and Alcatel-Lucent have taken different approaches to building their OSS tool portfolios. Huawei and ZTE have also been able to effectively compete to introduce their own OSS portfolios that strive to be feature and cost competitive.
