TomTom will have to face the unavoidable reality that hardware, and increasingly content, will be monopolized by a few very big players. The company is looking to ramp up its presence in automotive and maximizing licensing revenues from its mapping and traffic content assets; promising new deals for map content, navigation software, and HD Traffic should result in improved revenue numbers in the near future.
