Research Analyst - IoT and M2M - US/UK/Singapore Locations

 ABI Research is seeking a Research Analyst for its coverage of IoT technologies. Specific coverage is centred around the growing IoT and Machine-to-Machine ecosystem. The Research Analyst will be responsible for contribution to a research agenda that will be focused on one or more of the following areas:

  • IoT hardware
  • IoT platforms
  • IoT services
  • Low Power Wide Area Networks
  • IoT Devices
  • M2M Modules and Semiconductors
  • Companies involved in the IoT value chain

Responsibilities

Provide ABI Research clients with strategic advice and insights in one or more of the following areas: IoT hardware, IoT platforms, IoT services, Low Power Wide Area Networks, IoT Devices, M2M Modules and Semiconductors and companies involved in the IoT value chain.  Specific tasks will include:

  • Author syndicated research reports, market forecasts, and articles within the specific areas.
  • Provide guidance and input based on clients’ needs and industry trends
  • Maintain a high industry profile, promoting ABI Research’s information services through regular contact with key industry players, participation in industry events, authoring articles, delivering presentations, and interacting with the press
  • Support sales and business development activities by preparing customer-specific analysis, and participating in key meetings with clients, prospects, and partners

     

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the technology services and/or retail providers, including strong familiarity with major players, competitive dynamics, business issues, and market trends
  • Strong quantitative analysis capabilities: forecasting, financial analysis, retail metrics
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-centric, open-minded approach to solving business and analytical problems
  • Experience in product management, new product development, product marketing, market research, or industry analysis is strongly preferred

Research Analyst - Bluetooth & Wireless Connectivity - All office locations/remote location

Currently seeking a Research Analyst will be responsible for research and analysis specializing in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Wireless connectivity. The role requires a “self-starter” that is equally happy working individually and in small, usually multi-disciplined/multinational groups.

The successful analyst will contribute to research services that cover telecom network infrastructure products across various networks such as radio access, 5G, 4G and small cells. 


Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Authoring syndicated research reports, market forecasts, articles and related products within one or more areas of personal expertise
  • Work on custom research and consulting projects, providing leadership on approach and methodology

  • Supporting other analysts were required and providing telco cloud market expertise to other groups research within the organization.

Account Manager - Sales - Oyster Bay, New York

The Account Manager will be responsible for nurturing and growing existing client relationships, by way of ongoing support through proactive conversations and alignment of ABI’s solutions with their changing business needs.

Responsibilities:

    • Adhere to the key milestones and reporting expectations outlined by ABI’s Account Management Framework

    • Engage with clients on a regular basis to understand their key initiatives and business challenges and collaborate with analysts on their perspective and research recommendations

    • Manage pipeline daily and meet monthly quota

    • Negotiate pricing for renewals, generate quotes for distribution to clients and process orders upon client contract approvals

    • Identify upsell potential by exploring opportunities for additional services and/or custom projects

    • Walk new clients through our account management process, their research, and the key areas of our web site

    • Build knowledge across industries and your client’s business 

    • Work with Client Success and Accounting as needed to resolve issues and enhance client’s user experience

 

Skills and Competencies:

ABI Research has a number of positions available for Graduate analysts based in the United Kingdom. The Graduate Analyst will be part of a team lead by Research Directors in contributing to research services that cover one of the following areas:

  • New technology trends that Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, 5G, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity.

  • IoT & M2M – Connections, Revenues, Service delivery platforms, M2M Application Enablement Platforms (AEPs),  cloud-based platforms, M2M security, Internet of Things (IoT).

Senior Account Executive - USA

The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for developing new business relationships, managing a list of existing/assigned accounts, and developing new consulting opportunities. The Senior Account Executive will be engaged in account management and business development activities representing syndicated research, advisory services, and consulting.

Specific responsibilities include:

New Business Development

  • Prospecting for new client relationships within an assigned territory
  • Developing new business opportunities within assigned client companies
  • Preparing quotes, distributing quotes to prospects, processing orders upon client acceptance
  • Developing and maintaining a pipeline that supports the New Business goals of the company

Account Management

  • Developing strong relationships with assigned clients
  • Engaging clients to understand their issues and needs, then matching them with the appropriate products and services
  • Working with Client Relations on user Account Management (i.e.: adding, deleting, monitoring access)
  • Working with Client Relations to assist clients with various issues (i.e.: login, registration, etc.)
