Combating Dangerous Air Quality With Technology

Every year, 7 million people around the globe die as a result of poor air quality, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). That’s more than 5 times the amount that die in traffic accidents (1.3 million).

Fortunately, cities around the world are taking notice, and in response they’re making significant investments to combat dangerous air quality levels. In fact, the number of public air sensor stations – which measure air quality – is expected to increase from 8,000 in 2019 to around 31,000 in 2024 as cities look to build a dense network of monitoring stations.
