Judgment Time for the Microsoft Surface
Product Insight
Microsoft has invested substantially in advertising and marketing for its new Microsoft Surface, but has remained mum about Surface shipments and sales. The major differences between the operating systems are that the Surface Windows RT does not come bundled with the in-house Windows Media Player, and the packaged Office 2013 is a limited version, classified as “Special Office 2013.” Two drawbacks to Intel-based Surface are the price and its short battery life.
