Active automotive safety systems use every possible signal to detect obstacles and anticipate risks. No single technology provides the solutions; the goal is to integrate all (available) technologies to provide functionality now, instead of waiting for new standards such as ITS/DSRC, with a roll-out that might take more than a decade.
