This Competitive Assessment examines the eight leading suppliers of Software Development Kits (SDKs) that enable third-party developers to create Augmented Reality (AR) applications. The product includes a vendor matrix, which ranks the companies according to their performance against designated criteria in two categories, "innovation" and "implementation." The rankings of both dimensions consist of six separate weighted metrics. Besides evaluating the suppliers by the vendor matrix, ABI Research ranks them by the estimated 2012 market shares and provides a qualitative analysis on each company, focusing on its current strategy and future outlook.
