With the Cloud, Will We Need Local Content?
Market Insight
Cloud services continue to gain mindshare and presence among consumers and manufacturers alike. Samsung, for instance, recently announced a limited launch of its Music Hub service, which will currently only support Samsung’s Galaxy S III smartphone in select European countries (France, Germany, Spain, UK). The service is expected to extend to other Samsung devices and countries/regions of operation in the future. Connectivity, both in the home and mobile, has changed the way consumers view and produce content. The same holds true for video, although it is a few steps behind such other forms of media as music and photos.
