UK Loses Its Position at Forefront of NFC
Market Insight
Everything Everywhere’s offering of the QuickTap NFC application to selected Stagecoach customers for use on its bus services is another underwhelming launch and extension of Orange’s low-key QuickTap service. It continues to under-invest in the service; other countries are pushing ahead and have overtaken the U.K., which has lost its position as a leading market for NFC. The U.K. clearly is no longer at the forefront of NFC innovation.
