High-speed Broadband in Malaysia
Market Insight
Malaysia launched its national broadband network in 2004. The government of Malaysia has set a target to achieve 75% broadband penetration (including fixed and wireless) by the end of 2015. The plan also includes rolling out a fiber optic based high-speed broadband (HSBB) network to 1.3 million homes in the country by the end of 2012.
