In December, 2011, 2,000 smartphone users in the U.S. were surveyed on a variety of topics by ABI Research. Included in the survey were several questions specific to mobile money and payment services. This document contains selected results and ABI Research's analysis of those survey findings. Five questions were extracted from the survey, which focused on consumer behavior and usage patterns for mobile shopping and retail: 1) intent to mobile shop 2) specific behaviors of those who mobile shop 3) significance of apps to mobile money mobile shopping 4) frequency of use for mobile money/mobile shopping apps and 5) usage patterns of consumers who use retailer-branded apps.
