US 3D TVs and Universal Remote Controls

Survey

This report is based on ABI Research’s biannual Technology Barometer™: Connected Home & Computing survey (US: 4Q '2011), which is a primary research-based tracking study that provides dynamic views and insight into the constantly changing US consumer electronics market. In December 2011, 2000 US consumers completed a comprehensive online questionnaire that gathered information on current ownership and next six month purchase intentions (including purchase drivers and brands under consideration) for a number of consumer electronics products. This report covers 3D-ready TV ownership, intentions to purchase, and reasons for not purchasing. It also covers universal remote control ownership, as well as use of smartphones or tablets to control devices in the home, including brands used.
