Motorola XOOM-MZ600 Teardown

Summary

The Motorola Xoom was the first LTE tablet to ship. The tablet shipped in the first quarter of 2011 with the promise of a free upgrade to LTE follow shortly, but it was not until late September that the upgrade became available. This report shows the tablet as it was purchased without the LTE upgrade, but it includes the LTE components from the Droid Bionic in the teardown. This report to details all of the components found in the Xoom, as well as dismantling photos, unique board shots, performance measurements, a block diagram, cost information, and board area data.
