Intel Officially Introduces the "Oak Trail" Platform for Tablets

Ahead of its Developer Forum in Beijing this week, Intel officially introduced its Atom™ Processor family for tablets, codenamed “Oak Trail.” Although this processor family has been in development for a long time now its official announcement reaffirms Intel’s desire to be a significant force in the media tablet market. With the PC market under threat from smartphones and media tablets Intel needs to make a strong play for these markets.
