Macheen, a privately-held connected device cloud platform provider, publicly launched March 2, 2011. The company was founded in January 2010 to offer a white-label service to enable consumer electronics (CE) vendors to offer their end-customers connectivity for their devices over cellular networks. It utilizes Sprint’s network in the US and KPN’s network in Europe on a wholesale basis to offer connectivity and counts Dell among its first customers. Dell uses Macheen to offer notebook PC connectivity service in Germany.
